The Edwards G1M Genesis Signal Master is a commercial synchronization module designed for Genesis Series notification appliances. The snap-on piggyback design installs directly onto the back of the first compatible Genesis notification appliance on a circuit, eliminating the need for a separate electrical box while providing synchronized strobe operation and independent horn control.
The G1M provides UL 1971-compliant synchronization for compatible Genesis and Enhanced Integrity strobes while allowing horn-strobe appliances to operate over a single pair of wires with separate horn silence capability. This product is intended exclusively for commercial fire alarm installations.
The G1M operates on 16–33 VDC or 16–33 VFWR notification appliance circuits and is rated for circuits up to 2 amps. It draws approximately 33 mA during operation and connects directly to compatible Genesis notification appliances through its snap-on piggyback interface.
The module provides two methods of independent horn control for compatible horn-strobes: traditional NAC signal silence or a normally closed contact input. Strobes remain synchronized even when horns are silenced, improving emergency communication while maintaining visual notification.
The G1M installs by sliding its integrated connectors onto the terminals located on the back of the first compatible Genesis notification appliance in the circuit. This piggyback design eliminates additional wiring enclosures while maintaining a clean installation.
Only one Signal Master module is required per compatible notification appliance circuit. The module is intended for indoor commercial installations and should be installed in accordance with Edwards system documentation.
