The Edwards KIR-OSHCD is a commercial smoke, heat, and carbon monoxide detector designed for compatible Edwards fire alarm systems. It combines three life-safety detection functions in one low-profile device, helping identify smoke, elevated temperature conditions, rapid temperature increases, and hazardous carbon monoxide levels.
The detector includes automatic environmental compensation, continuous self-diagnostics, electronic addressing, and visible status indication. This product is intended exclusively for commercial fire alarm installations.
The KIR-OSHCD operates on compatible Edwards signaling line circuits and reports smoke, heat, CO, alarm, and maintenance conditions to the connected fire alarm control panel.
Rotary switches allow technicians to set the device address during installation. A compatible Edwards detector base is required and may be sold separately.
The KIR-OSHCD installs on a compatible Edwards KI Series detector base attached to an approved electrical box. Its plug-in construction supports efficient installation, inspection, testing, cleaning, and replacement without disturbing the installed field wiring.
