The Silent Knight IDP-FIRE-CO-W is an intelligent addressable multi-criteria detector that combines smoke detection, carbon monoxide (CO) detection, infrared (IR) sensing, and fixed-temperature heat detection into a single device. Designed for use with compatible Silent Knight IntelliKnight® fire alarm systems, the detector provides addressable fire and carbon monoxide monitoring while using only one Signaling Line Circuit (SLC) address. Therefore, it is suitable for commercial, educational, healthcare, hospitality, government, and multi-family residential applications.

Multi-Criteria Detection

The IDP-FIRE-CO-W combines four sensing technologies into one detector:

• Smoke sensor
• Electrochemical carbon monoxide sensor
• Infrared (IR) sensor
• Fixed-temperature heat sensor

Additionally, the detector evaluates information from multiple sensing elements before reporting conditions to the compatible fire alarm control panel. This multi-sensor design supports fire and carbon monoxide monitoring within a single addressable device.

Carbon Monoxide Monitoring

The integrated electrochemical sensing cell continuously monitors carbon monoxide levels and provides a dedicated CO signal separate from fire alarm events. Furthermore, the detector monitors the condition of the CO sensing element and provides end-of-life notification through the compatible control panel when replacement is required.

Intelligent Addressable Communication

The Silent Knight IDP-FIRE-CO-W communicates with compatible Silent Knight IntelliKnight addressable fire alarm control panels through the Signaling Line Circuit (SLC). Consequently, each detector can be individually identified, supervised, and programmed from the control panel, simplifying maintenance and event identification.

Automatic Drift Compensation

The detector automatically compensates for normal contamination of the smoke sensor and carbon monoxide cell over time. As a result, routine maintenance intervals may be simplified while helping maintain detector operation within supported system parameters.

LED Status Indicators

Dual programmable LEDs provide 360-degree visibility and may indicate:

• Alarm condition
• Trouble condition
• Maintenance status

Additionally, the detector supports connection to an optional remote LED annunciator for remote status indication.

Compatibility
