Space Age D381 Function
The Space Age D381 continuously monitors protected areas using advanced multi-spectrum optical sensing technology. As a result, it detects open flames within seconds and immediately activates connected fire alarm systems, fire suppression equipment, or emergency shutdown controls. In addition, advanced Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and convolution algorithms distinguish actual fire signatures from nuisance radiation sources, providing dependable operation in demanding industrial environments.
Multi-Spectrum 3IR + UV Detection
The D381 combines three infrared sensing bands with ultraviolet flame detection to maximize fire detection performance while minimizing false alarms. Consequently, it provides rapid response to hydrocarbon, non-hydrocarbon, and hydrogen fires over long distances. Moreover, the detector is capable of detecting a standard 12-inch × 12-inch n-heptane fire at distances exceeding 200 feet (61 meters) under ideal operating conditions.
