When cleaning is require, the assemblies come apart easily and snap back together in seconds. SuperDuct detectors use differential sensing to prevent gradual environmental changes from triggering false alarms. A rapid change in environmental conditions, such as smoke from a fire, causes the detector to automatically signal an alarm condition but dust and debris accumulated over time do not change alarm sensitivity.
The Edwards Est SD-2W Photoelectric Duct offers the convenience of modular design plus the power of advanced sensing technology. Available in a two-wire version or a four-wire version with separate controllers able to serve two detectors, installers have the freedom to configure the SuperDuct to suit the tight spaces typical of duct applications; and still, have ready access to field connections and maintenance features.
With its innovative remote test station, Also, superDuct detectors can be test for dirt contamination remotely, eliminating the need to physically access the detector with a sensitivity tester. This feature saves countless hours of fumbling with ladders and climbing into awkward spaces.
