The Edwards WGAVWF FIRE Outdoor Horn Strobe is an audible/visible fire alarm notification appliance designed for outdoor and harsh-environment installations. The specific WGAVWF configuration combines a white housing, FIRE marking, electronic horn, and selectable 15/30-candela strobe.
The appliance operates from a conventional notification appliance circuit and provides coordinated audible and visual emergency signaling.
The WGAVWF combines two notification functions:
Horn: Provides audible emergency signaling.
Strobe: Provides synchronized visual fire alarm notification.
Both functions are integrated into a single outdoor-rated wall/ceiling appliance platform.
The WGAVWF is a conventional notification appliance, not an individually addressable Signature device.
It receives its activation and operating power from the compatible fire alarm notification circuit. The appliance itself does not require an address on the fire alarm signaling line circuit.
Published WG Series information identifies:
Operating Voltage: 16–33 VDC
Audible Modes: Temporal 3 / Continuous
Strobe Output: 15 / 30 cd
Notification Type: Audible / Visible
Appliance Type: Horn/Strobe.
The exact notification circuit loading should be calculated using the applicable Edwards WG Series data sheet and the system’s power-supply specifications.
The exact WGAVWF model is identified as:
WG: Outdoor-rated series
AV: Horn/Strobe
W: White housing
F: FIRE marking.
Related configurations include WGAVWA with ALERT marking and WGAVWN without wording.
The WGAVWF uses the Edwards outdoor notification mounting system.
Installation typically includes mounting the appropriate outdoor box, connecting the notification circuit, selecting the required 15/30 cd output, selecting Temporal 3 or continuous horn operation, securing the appliance, and testing audible, visual, and synchronization functions.
