The switch contacts use gold-plated components rated at 0.25 A at 30 VAC or VDC. Furthermore, a four-position terminal strip with captive combination-head screws supports field wiring up to 12 AWG. Always verify circuit and control-panel compatibility before installation.
The BG-12L requires two deliberate motions for activation. First, the user pushes the handle inward. Then, the user pulls it downward. As a result, the design helps reduce accidental activation from bumps or impacts.
The station uses a key-operated lock for reset and inspection. Therefore, authorized personnel can open and restore the station after activation while limiting unauthorized access.
After operation, the handle remains latched in the down position. In addition, the word ACTIVATED appears in bright yellow, making the station’s condition easy to identify.
The handle includes Braille markings, directional arrows, and clear PUSH IN/PULL DOWN instructions. Furthermore, the station meets the ADA five-pound maximum pull-force requirement.
