Description

The Fire-Lite DUCTCOV is a commercial replacement duct detector cover designed for selected legacy Fire-Lite intelligent duct smoke detector housings manufactured prior to April 2014. It allows compatible newer replacement smoke detector heads to be installed in older duct detector housings whose original cover design does not accommodate the updated sensor profile.

The replacement cover is intended as a retrofit component for existing Fire-Lite duct smoke detectors and includes the hardware required for installation. This product is intended exclusively for commercial fire alarm installations.

Mounting & Design

The DUCTCOV installs in place of the original sensor cover using the supplied mounting screws. Installation consists of removing the existing cover, installing the compatible replacement detector head, and securing the new DUCTCOV over the sensor assembly.

No modification of the duct detector housing is required when used on approved compatible models.

Important: The DUCTCOV is intended for compatible duct detector housings manufactured prior to April 2014 (date code 4034 and earlier). Waterproof DNRW models require the DUCTCOVW replacement cover instead. Always verify compatibility with the installed duct detector housing before installation.
