The Gentex WGEC24-75WRLP is part of the “WGE / WGEC” Weatherproof (Commander) series from Gentex. Furthermore, it is a wall-mounted, outdoor-rated combination audible horn and visual strobe notification appliance designed for fire and emergency systems in harsh environments. The model operates at 24 VDC and offers a fixed 75 candela strobe output.
Outdoor / Weather-Resistant Design – The appliance uses a rugged enclosure (Lexan® or equivalent outdoor housing) that protects the device from moisture and also environmental exposure, enabling reliable outdoor use.
Fixed 75 Candela Strobe Output – Provides a visible 75 cd strobe, fixed (non-selectable) for consistent visual alerting in wall mount outdoor locations.
Selectable Horn Mode & Tone Options – The horn portion offers field-configurable tone options: continuous or temporal (Code 3) tone, and selectable tone families (2400 Hz, mechanical/low-frequency, chime, whoop) depending on variant.
Super-Slide® & Checkmate® Installer Features – Mounting bracket includes Super-Slide® feature (pre-wire mounting bracket, then attach appliance) and Checkmate® instant voltage verification to simplify installation and supervision testing.
Switchable dBA Levels – High/low volume switch for the horn allows adapting to noise levels in the environment
Wide Lens/Color Options – While the “WR” suffix indicates red faceplate and red lens, models in this series support other lens colors (amber, blue, green) as part of the WGE/WGEC Outdoor series.
