The Mircom MIX‑M500SAP Supervised Control Module delivers precise supervised control of external power or audio circuits for notification devices. Therefore, fire alarm control panels can switch external power or amplifiers while continuously monitoring wiring for faults. Additionally, the module reports load-device status as normal, open, or short circuit, helping maintain system reliability.
This module includes built-in rotary decade switches for individual addressing. Furthermore, it works in both advanced protocol mode and legacy CLIP mode, providing flexible integration into Mircom systems. This ensures compatibility with both new installations and existing systems.
When the module activates, it disconnects the supervision circuit and applies external power to connected devices. Consequently, the control panel confirms relay activation and ensures proper supervision. Moreover, the external power supply remains isolated from the communication loop, so any supply fault does not affect detection or signaling.
The MIX‑M500SAP supports loads such as horns, strobes, bells, and amplifiers up to 80 VRMS. For Class B wiring, the maximum current is 3 A, and for Class A wiring, it is 2 A. This versatility allows you to accommodate various notification devices efficiently.
The module mounts in a standard 4″ × 4″ junction box with at least 2⅛″ depth. It uses SEMS screws for easy wiring and includes a status LED that the panel controls. Meanwhile, its accessible wiring simplifies diagnostics and routine maintenance.
