Description
The Notifier FRM-1 is a commercial addressable relay module designed for compatible Notifier intelligent fire alarm control panels. It provides two isolated Form-C dry contacts (DPDT) for controlling auxiliary equipment such as HVAC systems, door holders, smoke dampers, elevators, fans, and other building control devices.
Powered directly from the Signaling Line Circuit (SLC), the FRM-1 features FlashScan® and CLIP® communication compatibility, rotary decimal addressing, and an integral status LED for dependable operation and simplified installation. This product is intended exclusively for commercial fire alarm installations.
Product Functions
- Controls auxiliary building equipment
- Provides two isolated Form-C dry contacts
- Supports HVAC shutdown
- Controls smoke dampers
- Controls door holders
- Supports elevator interface functions
- Resets compatible four-wire smoke detector power
- Provides continuous SLC communication and supervision
- Individual address identification
Electrical & System Information
The FRM-1 operates directly from a compatible 15–32 VDC Signaling Line Circuit (SLC) and requires no separate operating power for module electronics or relay operation. The module occupies a single SLC address while both Form-C relay outputs operate simultaneously as a DPDT relay.
Two rotary decimal switches provide local addressing, while the integral LED flashes green during normal polling and illuminates steadily when the relay is activated. Circuit connections to the relay contacts are not supervised by the module.
