Description

The Notifier FRM-1A is an addressable control relay designed to provide programmable dry contact switching for commercial fire alarm systems. It allows compatible fire alarm control panels to activate auxiliary equipment such as fans, dampers, door holders, HVAC controls, and other building systems through panel programming or manual operation.

The relay module communicates over the Signaling Line Circuit using FlashScan or CLIP protocols while receiving both operating power and communications from the same two wire loop. Its compact design, rotary address switches, and integrated LED indicator simplify installation and maintenance in commercial life safety systems.

Electrical & System Information

The FRM-1A communicates over the Signaling Line Circuit using FlashScan or CLIP communication protocols and occupies one address on the SLC loop. The module contains two isolated Form C dry contacts that operate together as a DPDT relay while receiving operating power directly from the signaling loop.

A built in LED flashes green during normal communication with the control panel and changes to steady red when the relay is activated. Device addressing is accomplished using two rotary decimal switches.
