The Notifier FSP-851A is an intelligent addressable photoelectric smoke detector designed to provide dependable early warning fire detection in commercial fire alarm systems.
The detector supports Notifier FlashScan and CLIP communication protocols, allowing individual point identification, programmable sensitivity, maintenance monitoring, and rapid communication with compatible fire alarm control panels. Its plug-in construction simplifies installation, inspection, cleaning, and replacement.
The FSP-851A uses a specialized optical sensing chamber designed to respond to smoke generated by a broad range of combustion sources. The detector’s listed sensitivity range is 0.5% to 2.35% per foot obscuration.
Sensitivity can be programmed through the compatible Notifier fire alarm control panel.
Continuous sensitivity monitoring helps identify detector contamination and maintenance requirements. The removable plug-in detector head can be serviced or replaced without disturbing permanent field wiring connected to the detector base.
The FSP-851A plug-in design supports multiple detector base configurations, allowing the device to be adapted to different fire alarm installation requirements.
The detector head is approximately 2.1 inches high and weighs approximately 5.2 ounces.
