Description

This Notifier FTM-1 Firephone Control module is use to connect a remote firefighter telephone to a centralized telephone console. A ringing sound is provide at each off-hook handset until it is connect to the console. Wiring to individual telephone jacks and handsets is supervise, and status is report to the panel as NORMAL, TROUBLE, or TELEPHONE. In addition, this module has two pairs of output termination points available for fault-tolerant wiring and includes a panel-control LED indicator. The FTM-1 has the ability to differentiate between normal, off-hook, and trouble conditions.

In conclusion, the Fire phone Control Modules are intended for use in intelligent, two-wire systems, where the individual address of each module is select using the built-in rotary switches. The user can then connect that off-hook phone to the main riser for the voice evac system. The Notifier FTM-1 Firephone Control Module uses one of 159 possible module addresses on an SLC loop. Also, the FTM-1 will disconnect the supervision and connect the telephone riser to its telephone circuit. In addition, the telephone riser is always relay isolate from the communication loop so that a trouble condition on the riser will never interfere with the rest of the system.
