The Notifier N100-ISO Fault Isolator Module enhances the reliability of addressable fire alarm systems by protecting the signaling line circuit (SLC) from short circuits. This module automatically detects and isolates faults, preventing a single wiring failure from disabling the entire loop. It is ideal for installations where system continuity is critical, such as hospitals, schools, airports, and commercial buildings.

By maintaining uninterrupted communication across the rest of the loop, the N100-ISO ensures faster diagnostics and minimal disruption during emergencies.

Reliable Fault Isolation for Addressable Loops

The N100-ISO continuously monitors the SLC for short circuits. When a fault is detected, the module immediately isolates the affected segment, allowing the remaining loop to continue functioning. This automatic action helps the fire alarm system remain operational while isolating the issue for later repair.

Once the fault is cleared, the module automatically restores the loop to its normal condition, eliminating the need for manual resets.

Seamless Integration and Compatibility

Designed for use with Notifier intelligent fire alarm control panels, the N100-ISO integrates directly into the SLC. It occupies one address but does not use up any of the device addresses on the loop, preserving capacity for other modules or detectors. Installers can position the module between every 15 to 20 devices, following system design guidelines to ensure proper loop segmentation.

Because of its plug-in design and LED status indicator, the module simplifies both installation and troubleshooting.
