Potter AB-6 detector base i s used to install Potter’s addressable smoke and heat detectors. The Potter AB-6 will b e mounted on a single gang, double gang, octagon, or 4” square electrical box. The AB-6 i s a low-profile, surface-mount base used with Potter’s addressable detectors. The base uses screw-clamp terminals. That accepts wire ranging from 22 to 14 AWG. Wh en installed on recessed electrical boxes. I s wide enough to completely cover the back box. And the immediate surrounding area. The base comes equipped with a locking tab to deter unauthorized removal of the attached detector.
