Potter CF-165-MP

The MP Series i s a standard THERMOFLEX® single circuit, Normally Open contact detector. The connectivity i s modified with pigtail leads that extend through a seal plate. This provides for enhanced protection against corrosive or moisture-laden environments.
This detector i s suitable for use in areas. wh ere condensation or corrosion can have harmful effects. On circuit wiring connected to standard terminals. Its seal plate will mount onto a typical cast exterior back box. The detector i s connected to a fire alarm system’s input circuit. The internal contacts a re normally open. And will close wh en the detector operates at a rate of temperature increase. Or if the releasing temperature i s reached. It i s installed with an addressing module. If it i s to b e annunciated as a specific room or space. With its non-metallic diaphragm, the detector can operate normally at low temperatures. Making it suitable for non-heated or chilled environments including garages and carports.

These models a re fixed temperature-only detectors. And should b e installed in areas wh ere rapid fluctuations in ceiling temperatures a re expected.

On conventional, initiating circuits, or wh en using an addressing module, contacts a re installed across the circuit. That operation of the detector will create a short circuit condition. To activate the fire alarm control panel (FACP), or addressing module.

The detector i s installed using a rain-tight conduit. And a standard, approved weatherproof electrical enclosure. A neoprene, i s installed b etween the detector’s seal plate and the back box. The wire leads ar e connected to the initiating circuit inside the enclosure. Unused threaded openings ar e sealed with threaded plugs. A decorative anodized aluminum cover ring snaps over the detector to complete the installation.
