The Secutron MRI-3100 is an addressable smoke detector designed to provide dependable fire detection in commercial fire alarm systems. Utilizing advanced sensing technology, it detects smoke from a wide range of combustion sources while providing continuous digital communication with the fire alarm control panel for rapid alarm reporting and system supervision.
Part of the Secutron MRI-3000 Series, the detector features a low profile design, automatic addressing through the MRI-ADD address card system, onboard processing, and LED status indication. Its plug in construction simplifies installation and maintenance for commercial life safety applications.
The MRI-3100 operates on an addressable signaling line circuit with an operating voltage of 16 to 28 VDC. Address information is stored within the MRI-ADD address card located in the detector base, allowing detector replacement without reprogramming the system.
A built in LED flashes during normal polling and illuminates steadily when the detector enters the alarm condition. The detector communicates digitally with compatible Secutron Alpha Series fire alarm control panels for continuous monitoring and event reporting.
The MRI-3100 incorporates a low profile housing, addressable analog communication, automatic addressing using the MRI-ADD address card, digital communications, LED status indication, plug in installation, continuous self supervision, rapid response performance, and a modern commercial design intended for indoor fire alarm applications.
The MRI-3100 installs onto a compatible detector base using a twist lock mounting arrangement that allows quick installation, servicing, and replacement without disturbing field wiring. Since addressing is contained within the detector base, maintenance is simplified and addressing errors during detector replacement are minimized.
