Siemens SEH-MC-CW Speaker / Speaker-Strobe

The Siemens SEH-MC-CW is a high-fidelity speaker (or speaker-strobe) appliance in Siemens’ SEH “HiFi” / SEH “High-Fidelity” line. It is designed for indoor installations, providing both clear voice or tone communication and synchronized visual signaling (in strobe variants) in fire alarm and mass notification systems. The “MC” indicates Multi-Candela strobe capability, and “CW” refers to the ceiling/white styling variant.

Key Features & Capabilities

• Dual-Voltage Speaker Capability
  Supports both 25 VRMS and 70 VRMS audio line operation, with field-selectable power taps from 1⁄8 W to 2 W, allowing flexible adaptation to different system loads.

• High-Fidelity Audio Performance
  Covers a frequency range of 300 to 8000 Hz, providing clear and also intelligible voice or tone output in occupied areas.

• Selectable Multi-Candela Strobe (in Strobe Versions)
  For models that include the strobe function, the MC strobe offers multiple candela settings (e.g. 15, 30, 75, 110 cd, etc.), selectable to meet coverage needs.

• Synchronized Strobe Flashing
  Strobes produce one flash per second across their input voltage range, and support synchronization via Siemens sync modules (e.g. DSC) and compatible control panels.

• Tamper-Proof & Field Adjustability
  Candela selection switches are tamper-resistant, protecting against unauthorized changes. The grille is snap-on, allowing low-profile installation with hidden fasteners.

• Flush Mount Design
  Can be mounted flush to a 4″ × 2-1/8″ electrical box without needing extension rings, also simplifying installation. Optional extender ring (SPEXT) is available if mounting depth is insufficient.

• UL / ULC / CSFM / Listings
  The SEH line listed to UL 1480 (speakers) and UL 1971 (strobes), with Canadian ULC and other agency approvals.
