SIEMENS SL-SERIES SURFACE BACKBOX (SLSBB)
SL-Series ADAPTER KIT (SLSGP)
Use this product according to this instruction manual. Please keep this instruction manual for future reference.
GENERAL
The Siemens Surface Backbox is UL and ULC listed.
The Adapter Kit (SLSGP) allows the same appliances to mounted to a standard recessed single-gang or 4-inch sq. electrical
back box.
Conduit Openings on SLSBB: (2) side ¾-inch knockout.
APPLICATION NOTES
1. Please refer to the installation instructions provided for each notification appliance.
2. Use mounting screws supplied with this product and mount the backbox.
3. Screws required, NOT OPTIONAL, for attaching the SLSBB or SLSGP to a mounting surface or back box.
Siemens SLSBBW Back Box
Mount the SLSBB in the appropriate location. Remove only the necessary conduit knock-out. Connect field wiring to the appliance per the appliance instruction sheet, and Connect the device to SLSBB.
The wiring method shall be by CSA C22.1, Canadian Electrical Code, Part 1, Safety Standard for Electrical Installations, Section 32.
CAUTION:
Check that the installed product will have sufficient clearance and wiring room.
Some system communication circuits and/or audio circuits.
