Description

The Siemens U-MH Mini Horn is a fire alarm Mini Horn that provides a continuous or coded horn signal, depending on the pattern of the voltage applied. Additionally the Adapter feature offers four field selectable candela settings ñ 15/75, 30/75, 75 or 110.

Siemens Fire Safety notification devices are design with the installer in mind. They are constructed with all of the electronics inside the housing and not in the box. This design helps eliminate possible ground faults from crowded electrical boxes. So far the Siemens U-MH Mini Horn construction consists of a Xenon flashtube with solid state circuitry for maximum reliability and efficiency. The full range of strobes have a rounded dome shape made of clear Polycarbonate. Notice that strobe synchronization requires the Dual Sync Control Module or PAD-3.
Also, the audible/visual notification appliances shall be Siemens Fire Safety Series Selectable Candela Strobe – Mini-Horns, or approved equal. shall produce a flash rate of one (1) flash per second over the Operating Voltage Range Limits. The strobe shall consist of a xenon flash tube enclosed in a rugged clear polycarbonate lens. In the meantime the strobe shall be of a low current design, and shall provide a minimum of four (4) field selectable strobe intensity settings, 15/75, 30/75, 75, and 110 candela.
For example, some of the features can be describe below:
  • Strobe only operates in either sync or non-sync modes.
  • Steady-tone or temporal horn (92 dB @ 10 ft. typical) with 15 mA horn current.
  • Single gang and universal mount configurations.
  • Screw terminals accept 12 awg wire.
