Description

The Simplex 4090-9007 Addressable Signal provides additional NACs to the host control panel, it does not provide additional power. For applications requiring additional individual NAC supervision and control, provides a 0.5 A remote NAC under host panel addressable point control. IDNet communications monitor the Signal IAM status and then connect the output NAC to separate signal input for local alarm notification. Also, the Signal IAM also allows the control panel to use IDNet communications to control audio circuits from a compatible Simplex audio control panel. Only one signal source is use per Signal IAM; separate Signal IAMs would be require for control of DC power to appliances such as strobes.

The Simplex 4090-9007 Addressable Signal provides a supervised, addressable interface between conventional notification appliances and the host FACP. The Signal IAM requires a supervise power supply or compatible signal input for driving the externally connect NAC appliances.

In other words, each Signal IAM has a unique address. This address is associate with a custom label that identifies its physical location within a building. Some of the supervision features are:

• Relay contacts isolate signal inputs from outputs during supervision and do not monitor signal presence; signal inputs sources will need to be monitored separately.
• During supervision, signal outputs are isolate from signal inputs by open contacts allowing consideration for use with SCIF applications.
