The System Sensor 2WTA-B is a commercial two wire smoke detector designed to provide reliable smoke and fixed temperature heat detection with an integrated audible sounder. As part of the i3 Series, it combines advanced smoke sensing, thermal detection, and intelligent maintenance features to provide dependable fire detection while reducing nuisance alarms.
The detector incorporates drift compensation, automatic sensitivity adjustment, dual color LED indication, and a plug in design for simplified installation and maintenance. Its built in sounder provides local audible notification when an alarm condition occurs, making it suitable for a wide range of commercial and residential fire alarm applications.
The 2WTA-B operates on a nominal 12 volt or 24 volt two wire notification circuit with an operating voltage range of 8.5 to 35 VDC. It incorporates automatic drift compensation and smoothing algorithms that continuously adjust detector sensitivity to maintain reliable performance over time.
Dual color LEDs provide visual indication for power up, standby, alarm, maintenance, out of sensitivity, and freeze trouble conditions. The detector includes a built in sounder and a fixed 135 degree Fahrenheit thermal sensor for additional fire detection capability.
The 2WTA-B features a plug in detector head and mounting base that simplify installation and servicing. The base may be prewired before the detector is installed, reducing installation time while minimizing wiring disturbances during maintenance.
The detector is compatible with standard three and one half inch and four inch octagonal boxes, single gang boxes, four inch square boxes with plaster rings, and direct ceiling mounting using approved anchors.
