The System Sensor MP120K Mounting Plate Adapter is a 120VAC adapter mounting plate designed to power compatible SpectrAlert® Advance notification appliances from a standard 120VAC electrical source. The System Sensor MP120K integrates a built-in power supply that converts 120VAC to nominal 24V Full-Wave Rectified (FWR) power, allowing compatible horns, strobes, horn strobes, chimes, and chime strobes to be installed where 120VAC circuits are available. Therefore, it provides a convenient solution for commercial, industrial, and institutional fire alarm notification applications.
System Sensor MP120K Function
The System Sensor MP120K is designed to provide operating power for compatible SpectrAlert Advance notification appliances using a 120VAC branch circuit. As a result, installers can deploy notification devices without requiring a separate remote 24VDC power supply. In addition, the adapter mounting plate simplifies wiring while maintaining reliable operation for compatible audible and visible notification devices.
120VAC to 24V FWR Power Conversion
The MP120K incorporates an internal power supply that converts 120VAC input power to nominal 24V Full-Wave Rectified (FWR) output. Consequently, compatible SpectrAlert Advance appliances receive the proper operating voltage directly from the mounting plate. Compatible with SpectrAlert Advance Devices
The System Sensor MP120K is compatible with a wide range of SpectrAlert Advance horns, strobes, horn strobes, chimes, and chime strobes. However, the MP120K is intended for non-synchronized applications and is not compatible with SpectrAlert Sync•Circuit Modules.
