Description

The Wheelock ELSTWC Ceiling LED Strobe is an indoor visible notification appliance from Eaton’s Wheelock Eluxa family. It uses energy-efficient LED technology and is designed for ceiling-mounted fire alarm applications requiring synchronized visual notification. Eaton identifies the ELSTWC with a white housing, clear lens, FIRE lettering, and selectable 15, 30, 75, 110, 150, or 177 candela output.

LED Strobe Technology

The ELSTWC uses LED technology rather than a traditional xenon flash tube.

Eaton describes the Eluxa family as energy efficient, with reduced current draw intended to help minimize power-supply requirements and circuit loading.

The product is also designed so compatible LED and legacy xenon strobes may be used within the same field of view when the applicable Wheelock synchronization requirements are followed.

Installation Information

The ELSTWC uses a ceiling mounting plate and supports several common electrical-box arrangements.

Eaton documentation identifies compatible ceiling mounting with:

4-inch square boxes, 1½ or 2⅛ inches deep

4-inch octagonal boxes, 1½ or 2⅛ inches deep.

The appliance also provides pre-wire/pre-test capability and IN/OUT screw terminals for #12–18 AWG conductors.
