Description

Edwards 281C Heat Detector when the temperature increases 15ºF (9ºC) or more per minute. They – close contact with the detector. When the rate of rise element alone – activates it, the detector is self-restoring.

If the temperature of the center disk rises to the detector’s rated temperature [135ºF(57.2ºC). Or 197ºF (91.7ºC)] contacts in the detector a r e nonrestorable and must – replaced it. They need a replacement when the center disk is fall-free. Edwards 281C Heat Detector – installed by CAN/ULC-S524-M86. And also the last issue of the Canadian Electrical Code, section 32.

Select the location for the detector on the ceiling. Don’t locate in the direct path of hot or cold airflow. Refer to the specifications and precautionary information sheet for recommended maximum spacing. Earlier warnings can – get it by reducing the spacing between detectors.

The Edwards 281C Heat Detector – mounted to an electrical box or surface mount. Use the supplied metal or plastic mounting plate. Install the plate using one of the following applicable mounting procedures.
