Description

The Edwards Est SIGA-MCT2-LG Dual Module is part of the UIO family of plug-in Signature Series modules. They function identically to the Edwards SIGA-MCT2 Dual Module but takes advantage of the modular flexibility and easy installation that characterizes all UIO modules. All wiring connections are made to terminal blocks on the motherboard. Multiple applications Including Alarm, Alarm with delayed latching (retard) for water flow applications, Supervisory, and Monitor.

The Edwards Est SIGA-MCT2-LG Dual Module also collects information from the connecting devices and converts the information into digital signals. This device had an onboard microprocessor that measures and analyzes the signal and determines the message to send. Each module constantly runs self-checks to provide important maintenance information. The onboard intelligence allows the module to operate in standalone mode. If controller communication fails for more than four seconds while powered, all devices on that circuit go into the stand-alone mode. Also, the circuit acts like a conventional alarm receiving circuit. Modules configured as alarm devices alarm when their alarm initiating device activates. This also means less information sent between the module and the loop controller.
