Description
The Honeywell ASD-PL3R is an addressable smoke detector designed to provide dependable fire detection in commercial fire alarm systems. It combines a smoke sensing chamber with addressable analog communication, transmitting an analog representation of smoke density to the fire alarm control panel for continuous monitoring and alarm processing.
The ASD-PL3R features rotary address switches, panel controlled status LEDs, remote annunciator capability, and a plug in design that simplifies installation and servicing. It is also listed for duct applications and supports remote testing when installed in an approved duct detector housing.

Electrical & System Information
The ASD-PL3R operates from 15 to 32 VDC and draws approximately 200 microamps at 24 VDC during normal operation. Maximum alarm current is approximately 2 milliamps at 24 VDC, while maximum current with the amber LED illuminated is approximately 4.5 milliamps.
Rotary dial switches provide point addressing for up to 159 addresses. Two panel controlled LEDs can display green, red, or amber indications depending on system programming and detector condition. An output is also provided for an optional remote LED annunciator. The ASD-PL3R operates using the Velociti Series protocol.
The detector is listed for duct applications and can be installed inside an approved DNR duct smoke detector housing. When used in this configuration, remote testing can be performed using approved System Sensor test accessories without requiring a test coil.
