The Notifier FAPT-851 is a commercial smoke and heat detector designed for compatible Notifier fire alarm systems. It combines smoke detection with integrated fixed-temperature heat sensing to provide dependable fire detection across a wide range of commercial applications.
The detector automatically adjusts its smoke sensitivity based on environmental conditions, helping reduce nuisance alarms while maintaining reliable performance. It features rotary decimal addressing, dual LED status indicators, and a plug-in design for simplified installation and maintenance. This product is intended exclusively for commercial fire alarm installations.
The FAPT-851 operates on compatible Notifier signaling line circuits with an operating voltage of 15–32 VDC. Rotary decimal switches allow local device addressing, while the connected fire alarm control panel supervises detector status and maintenance information.
The detector automatically increases sensitivity as heat rises and can also operate in heat-only mode when supported by the compatible control panel.
The FAPT-851 installs on compatible Notifier detector bases including B210LP, B501, B200S, B200SR, and B224RB. The removable detector head allows convenient installation, testing, cleaning, and replacement without disturbing field wiring.
