The Siemens XTRI-R Intelligent Interface Modules provide a seamless way to connect direct shorting devices to the fire alarm control panel (FACP) SLC. Each module occupies one address on the loop.

Key Features

• Dual Isolation Technology
  Each Siemens XTRI-R module integrates intelligent dual isolation technology, which complies with NFPA 72 Class X (Style 7) wiring standards. As a result, the system supports up to 252 isolators per loop, with a maximum of 30 devices placed between isolators. These devices can include both ‘H’-series and ‘X’-series detection devices.
• Improved Diagnostics
  The built-in isolators enhance diagnostics by pinpointing problems, including shorts. Consequently, this feature allows technicians to identify issues quickly, improving the efficiency of repairs and minimizing downtime.
• Configurable Modes
  You can configure the XTRI-R module in either an isolator (polarity sensitive) or non-isolator (polarity insensitive) mode. When set as an isolator, the module functions as both an in/out device and an isolator, offering greater flexibility.
• Advanced Troubleshooting
  Compatible panels aid in troubleshooting by identifying when the XTRI-R module is incorrectly wired in polarity-insensitive mode, even though it is configured as an isolator. Thus, technicians can resolve wiring issues with ease.
• Relay Control
  By using an addressable ‘Form C’ relay, the XTRI-R relay and contact device input are controlled at the same address. This relay enables independent control from a Siemens-compatible FACP and is typically used to control or shunt external equipment.
