Description

Siemens ZR-MC-CW Strobe (White) is an audible/visual notification appliance that comes listed for indoor use only.

General:

1. Appliances are listed under UL Standard 1971 (Standard for Safety Signaling Devices for Hearing Impaired) and UL Standard 464 (Fire Protective Signaling)
2. Appliances use a universal backplate, which allows mounting to a single-gang, double-gang, 4-inch-square (10.2 cm), 4”-octal (10.2 cm), or a 3-1/2” (8.9 cm) octal backbox
3. Two-wire configurations allow for the direct connection of appliances to the mounting backplate
4. A continuity check will occur for the entire NAC circuit before attaching any audible/visual notification appliances
5. A cover fits over the mounting plate for protection from dust as well as other outside elements
6. Removal of an appliance will result in a Trouble condition by the Siemens Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP)
7. Strobe inputs come polarized for compatibility with standard reverse-polarity supervision of circuit wiring by a Siemens FACP
8. The strobes will not drift out of synchronization at any time during operation
9. Audibles and strobes can synchronize on a two-wire circuit with the capability to silence the audible

Features / Specifications

• Strobes can be synchronized using the Siemens DSC sync modules, the Siemens 50-point, 252-point together with 504-point addressable fire alarm control panels (FACPs)
• Ceiling-mount models feature field-selectable Candela settings of 15/30/75/95cd, likewise 115/177cd
• Wall-mount models feature field-selectable Candela settings of 15/30/75/110cd as well as 135/185cd
• Also, Strobes produce one (1) flash per second
• UL Listed & ULC Listed, FM (#3028994) Approved
