Description
The System Sensor 4WTA-B is a commercial 4-wire smoke detector designed for conventional fire alarm systems. It combines a smoke sensing chamber, a 135°F (57.2°C) fixed-temperature thermal sensor, and an integrated 85 dBA sounder in a single low-profile detector, providing dependable smoke and heat detection with local audible notification.
As part of the System Sensor i3™ Series, the detector features drift compensation, maintenance signaling, dual-color LED status indication, and plug-in installation for simplified servicing. This product is intended exclusively for commercial fire alarm installations.
Product Functions
- Detects airborne smoke
- Provides 135°F (57.2°C) fixed-temperature heat detection
- Integrated 85 dBA sounder
- Reports alarm conditions to the fire alarm control panel
- Automatic drift compensation
- Maintenance notification
- Freeze trouble indication
- Dual-color LED status indication
- Supports synchronized sounder operation with compatible modules
Electrical & System Information
The 4WTA-B operates from a 12/24 VDC non-polarized power source and is intended for conventional 4-wire fire alarm systems. It utilizes automatic drift compensation and smoothing algorithms to maintain reliable smoke detection while reducing nuisance alarms caused by dust accumulation.
When used with the optional RRS-MOD Reversing Relay/Synchronization Module, multiple i3 Series sounder detectors can activate simultaneously and may be synchronized and silenced from the fire alarm control panel.
