The System Sensor SS-FIRE-CO is an intelligent, addressable device that combines photoelectric smoke detection and carbon monoxide (CO) sensing in a single unit. It is specifically designed to protect occupants from both visible smoke and deadly CO gas, making it ideal for commercial, residential, and mixed-use buildings.
The SS-FIRE-CO uses advanced photoelectric sensing to detect slow-smoldering fires, while an integrated electrochemical cell accurately senses carbon monoxide levels. By combining these technologies, the detector reduces the need for multiple devices, lowering installation time and hardware costs. Moreover, it minimizes the risk of missed alarms by detecting two critical threats with one intelligent sensor.
Fully compatible with System Sensor intelligent fire alarm control panels, the SS-FIRE-CO communicates real-time status, sensitivity levels, and maintenance alerts directly to the control unit. As a result, system monitoring and diagnostics are more efficient and reliable. Additionally, the unit’s plug-in design with a universal mounting base ensures fast and secure installation.
The SS-FIRE-CO features a tri-color LED to display device status clearly: green for normal, amber for maintenance, and red for alarm conditions. In addition, the detector provides an end-of-life warning to alert building staff when the CO sensing element needs replacement. Therefore, system integrity is maintained over time with minimal manual checks.
