The Honeywell IDP-PHOTO-R-IV is a commercial smoke detector designed for compatible Honeywell Farenhyt addressable fire alarm systems. It features a smoke sensing chamber engineered to detect smoke from a wide range of combustion sources while providing dependable fire detection and reduced nuisance alarms. The -IV model is supplied in an ivory housing for applications where an alternate detector color is preferred.
This detector includes remote test capability for use with compatible DNR and DNRW intelligent duct smoke detector housings, allowing functional testing from an approved remote test station without requiring a test coil on newer duct housings. It features rotary decimal addressing, dual LED status indication, and a low-profile plug-in design. This product is intended exclusively for commercial fire alarm installations.
The IDP-PHOTO-R-IV operates on compatible Honeywell addressable 15–32 VDC Signaling Line Circuits (SLC) and communicates continuously with the fire alarm control panel. Rotary decimal switches provide local addressing from 01–159.
The detector is specifically designed for use with DNR and DNRW intelligent duct smoke detector housings. When installed in compatible housings manufactured with date code 0013 or later, remote testing can be performed without an auxiliary test coil. Earlier housings require the optional DCOIL accessory for remote testing.
The IDP-PHOTO-R-IV installs on compatible B501 or B300-6 detector bases using a plug-in design that allows installation, inspection, cleaning, testing, and replacement without disturbing field wiring.
When installed inside compatible DNR or DNRW intelligent duct smoke detector housings, the detector supports remote functional testing and maintenance while remaining installed in the duct housing.
