The Siemens XMS-D is an addressable dual action manual pull station designed for commercial fire alarm systems. It requires two deliberate actions to initiate an alarm. The user first operates the lever marked PUSH HERE THEN and then pulls down the front cover, helping reduce accidental activation.
The XMS-D incorporates built in isolation technology for enhanced signaling circuit survivability and uses one device address. A tri color status LED provides visible indication of normal, alarm, and trouble conditions, while the T-45 key allows authorized personnel to reset the station after activation.
The XMS-D is a field installed addressable device that uses one address on the signaling circuit. It can be commissioned for isolation operation or polarity insensitive non isolation operation. The built in isolation capability supports Class X circuit survivability requirements.
The station provides bidirectional communication with the fire alarm control panel.
